A Reluctant Witness To An Incomprehensible Occurrence

The title of this piece which I wrote above can only refer to one long running occurrence and nothing else. I would expect most individuals understand what I mean, what else could those words refer to?  I will share this picture with you and you tell me what it presents to you?  What it presents to me is a thin outer shell of an inner reality not apparent at first by most people.  But like a virus it has the power to control, consume and then destroy. 

As I fall asleep many nights the above picture materializes, and I hear a train whistle coming from a place within my head other things were present as well but thankfully I do not remember what they were.
