What Makes the World Go Round?

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin was among the Roman Church’s most readable thinkers.  Although a member of the Jesuit order much of this works were banned by the Church on intellectual grounds.   I find his idea of the “omega point” to be a serious attempt to explain how things will ultimately evolve.   Both he and modern cosmology and physics have much in common with each other especially concerning the concept of consciousness.   Where de Chardin speculated on a steady evolution towards the Beatific Vision scientists such as Roger Penrose proposes entropy cuts that from occurring and throws things back to  infinity or to the beginning of things.  Very interesting and fascinating but we shall see.
